Garden Organics Recycling

Garden Organics Recycling

CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS: CLOSED 25.12.18, 26.12.18 & 1.1.19

Corkhill Bros has been offering the Canberra community a public drop off facility for over 35 years. All Green Organics that is dropped off at our facility enters a process to ensure it is beneficially re-used within the community.  The Green Organics is ground up daily, before allowing the product to sit for 3 months. This allows the particles to break down before additives are introduced and turned into the piles for mixing. At the end of this cycle, the processed Green Organics is added to a number of our products including Forest Litter, Super soil and Vegi mix. These products are available for purchase year round from our Mugga Lane and Mitchell facilities. Head down to either of these facilities to purchase these products and help us help Canberra recycle!

In order to continue offering the community a public drop off facility, we ask the public to abide by the conditions of drop-off.

Conditions of drop off:

  • No Plastics
  • No Soil or Dirt
  • No Treated Wood
  • No Contamination
  • No Food Products
  • No Fence Palings
  • No Lattice or Timber Products
